What to do when the sport package on your standard wheelbase 7 Series isn’t enough? For 200 connoisseurs of big and fast sport sedans, BMW has the answer for U.S. enthusiasts this year with the Alpina B7. It’s being introduced on the first press day of the Chicago Auto Show, Wednesday, Feb. 7. Some 200 B7s will be made available for U.S. customers in the 2007 model year at a price of $115,695, a premium of $40,000 over a vanilla 750i.
The heart and soul of the B7 will be an Alpina-modified 4.4-liter V8 engine,
