Bill Howard at BMW's Munich design studio. Bill has joined the BMW CCA web development team as the new Editor-in-Chief of www.bmwcca.org.
Award-winning technology journalist Bill Howard has been named Editor-in-Chief of the BMW Car Club of America’s website, www.bmwcca.org. The appointment was announced by Wynne Smith, Executive Director of BMW CCA.

As Editor-in-Chief, Howard is charged with making bmwcca.org the must-visit site for BMW club members as well as BMW fans who are prospective members. “Already we’ve doubled site traffic in a couple months by pumping in more news stories and covering car shows and BMW announcements in nearly real time,” Howard said. “Now comes the tougher part: building community around member discussions, technical interaction, member services, and racing coverage. Fortunately, the BMW Club has America’s most savvy tech people outside BMW headquarters, and their help is going to make a difference. If someone wants to know how to maintain or repair their BMW, see who has the best service in the area, or learn about new BMWs and new technology, bmwcca.org is going the be the place for it.” He will work with club Webmaster Gavin Hoffman and web developer Zack Peterson. A redesign of the site is due in the first half of 2007.
