I went to the Grand Am Rolex there and saw signs for their F1 Karting track. I have only been karting once in Delaware but would be interested in heading back to New Jersey Motorsport Park in try this outdoor track. I beleive it is $35 arrive and drive.

Collin Jevens is starting a karting program at Summit Point...it will be arrive and drive style. They are going to start linking them to Track Daze Driving events. I think they'll be at Washington Circuit. A few guys drove the karts they plan to run last weekend, maybe they'll comment.

Extremely nice facility. Staff was very friendly and racing oriented. Electric karts were unique to get used to with all the torque. Plenty of grip on the track. Shorter line was faster. It was faster to not hit the brakes in many cases because it delayed the throttle response. There is so much grip that an abrupt lift would be enough to rotate the karts in a tight turn. Track is short with track times in the 17-19sec range.

Ditto on this being a fantastic idea. I was trying to find a track near Fort Worth, TX. Haven't discovered a serious track, yet (there's a Putt-Putt, but I think they also allow bumping, so you know it isn't worthwhile). If anyone hears of one, please speak up. Planning to contact someone in the Lone Star Chapter to see what they know, too.

This is from a friend who lives near Dallas/Fort Worth:
There is a karting place in Denton just north of the city about 25 minutes. Www.ntkarters.com for the location in Denton.
I presume ha wants shifter karts and not just a place like Speedzone? There is a Speedzone near to downtown dallas Which is an arcade with some go-kart tracks. They do corporate events and and lunches and our chapter has a meeting there once a year so I do have contact info for them if that is what he is planning.

We recently opened an indoor karting facility in the Baltimore, MD / Washington D.C. area (in Howard County). We have two tracks and use Italian made electric Karts.

I was there the other night and had a good time. Those electric karts are kick-ass!

If anyone is every in upstate NY, one of my favorite tracks is Oakland Valley Raceway Park. The course layout is long with a great variety of turns and high vs low speed areas.

o independent indoor tracks that combine a couple of days a week to make a 60sec track. Full gear and 3pt harness req'd. I was literally worn out after a couple of sessions on this track. The cars are 9hp and the track is prepped to be sticky. I highly recommend this spot, very professional atmosphe

I went to the one in San Francisco was our first time doing it. I didn't know what to expect but really ended up enjoying it. And it was a pretty good workout for the arms :-)
