Playboy picked the BMW Z4 M Coupe as its car of the year. In a shocker, Pamela Anderson was edged out by the Toyota Tundra for best pickup honors.
Despite having no back seat for fooling around in, Playboy declared the BMW Z4 M Coupe to be its 2007 Car of the Year. Playboy noted the M Coupe “Boasts a 3.2 liter, 330-hp high-performance in-line six cylinder with a six-speed shifter.” It’s one of the few, if any, end-of-year awards going to the two-seat BMW coupe (either in standard or M form), which still doesn’t get the respect according the Porsche Boxster and now Cayman.

Other winners included the VW Eos, Porsche 911 Turbo, Cadillac Escalade, Ford Shelby GT500, Toyota Tundra, Saturn Sky Red Line, Mazda CX-7, and Lexus GS 450h (as “the Al Gore special”).
