    Cool High Mileage Awards

    Hey there club-heads, I've been kickin around this idea ever since I lost out on eBay while bidding on an authentic 200,000 mile roundel grill badge. Does BMW provide for any certificates to award or celebrate high mileage bimmers. I know beemers have a high mileage award program as well as Volvo. Is this something our club could consider... Just my two and a half cents worth. Happy Motoring...

    In my opinion BMW NA thinks you should trade-in your car for a new BMW every two years and therefore they do not condone high mileage cars.

    Maybe the national club should step in and recognize owners who have rolled up the miles.

    You would think that BMW would reward long-term ownership like Honda and Mercedes. I heard that a few dealers have actually bought high-mileages cars and place them in their showrooms to impress new customers.

    By the way, has anyone on this board exceeded 250K?

    It would be pretty tough to get that many miles in this area given the way people drive.

    I've heard of a lot of E30's going well over 300K but it seems like the odometer gives out on many of them.
