Local labor rates

I did a quick telephone survey of service rates here in the area of
some of the dealers and a few independents that I know of:

Dealers:
BMW of Arlington, Arlington, VA 115.00
BMW of Sterling, Sterling, VA 118.00
Tischer BMW, Silver Spring, MD 108.00
BMW of Fairfax, Fairfax, VA 115.00
VOB BMW, Rockville, MD 114.90
Passport BMW, Marlow Heights, MD 110.00

Independents:
Fairfax Service Center, Fairfax, VA 110.00
Auto Advantage, Manassas, VA 109.00

All provide a free loaner for major/scheduled service.

i chuckle when you post rates of $100 plus an hour and note "all provide a FREE loaner with scheduled maintenance."

just like bmw's "free" maintenance ...

free after you prepay for it hidden in the purchase price...

I think the labor rate is less important than the hours they will flat-rate you for any work performed.
