    Preamble
Well to get the ball rolling, we would like to first thank you guys for all the support and interest for another big official DC metro meet. We know that we are long overdue for a meet. Well, timing is everything and we feel the timing of this Fall DC metro meet is doubly good; i) the introduction of the MY07 E90/91 and E92s are generating a lot of interest and curiousity and ii) there are a lot of fine new members who have joined our community since our last big meet in May, a lot of whom we have not had the pleasure of meeting ouside the forum.
Thank you all, once again, for taking the time to fill out our DC metro e90 registry.
Our last meet in May, though relatively low-key and small, was a success in many ways. But we must admit, there were some areas we could've done better. How do we improve on it? BIGGER and BETTER, of course
    Passport BMW
Saturday morning, ase2dais (Al) and I successfully finalized our negotiations with Passport BMW of Maryland, our last DC metro meet corporate sponsor. They remained supportive and enthusiastic of our relationship and in a nod to the strength of our local e90post community and the e90post forums as a whole, they agreed to generously expand their sponsorship package, to help us realize our vision of a kick-ass meet, a little better
Thank you Mr. Joe Long, Mr. Dave Myers, Mr. Yves Badji and Mr. Peter Brizan of Passport BMW for your support and recognition.

As a result of the rounds of talks, we are happy to report and bring back the following 'war-chest' of resources/goodies to you guys:
-MY2007 E90/E92 328/335 technical demonstration, presentation, discussion by appointed product specialist and test drive availability
    -Lunch (Pizzas and sodas) :drink:
-Full venue set-up (parking, seating, tables, restrooms etc.)
-Upgraded goodies bag for attendees (final contents tbd)
-Commemorative t-shirt, cap or windbreaker (tbd)
-Various prizes for drawing and ‘Car of the Meet award’
-Commemorative front plate (as per last meet)
-Discount coupons for Passport parts/service department (tbd)
We might also arrange for other BMW models to be made available for test drives/perusal, if there are interests.
    Other activities planned:
    1) DC Metro rally to final meet venue (multiple stages)-takes place before the Passport venue/meet
    2) Photo sessions (various locations and time of day)
    3) A round or two of fun and involving games on-site
    4) Car of meet voting/awards. Might have two categories 1) Modded 2) Stock
BUT pretty much the main attraction would be an ample opportunity to come out, meet each other, get to know each other and to have fun together, in an atmosphere of warm camraderie such as the one we have been enjoying here on e90post. :drink:
    Scheduling
    Date: Sunday, October 22, 2006
First meeting point: Tysons Galleria II, Tysons Corner
    Time: 11:00
We will rally collectively in procession towards our meeting venue at Passport BMW. This rally will be covered by photos and videos.
Final Meet Venue: Passport BMW, Marlow Heights, Maryland.
Factor in about 2-3 hours of activities at Passport. Includes lunch session.
We hope the timing works a little better this time around (i.e. not too early and not too long).
