Anyone know a reasonably priced place near fairfax to service your auto transmission. The dealer wants $300. I have been told that it is a "lifetime fill", but I can't believe that it's true.
Thanks,
Kevin

I would call Convenience Car Care in Manassas.
http://www.conveniencecarcare.com/
We had a DIY event there last summer and I talked to the owner about doing this service to my car (it is still on my to do list). I don't remember the exact figure that he quoted for the service, but I think it was slightly less than $200.

The other reason is that the procedure for replacing the fluid is somewhat complicated. There is a very elaborate sequence of steps that have to be followed. It is not like changing your oil.
