The mod bug rules my life
No one has heard anything. If you registered the first two days the chances are very good that you will be accepted. That is not to say someone registering the 2nd week is SOL. Everyone should give it time.
I don't have an exact time table but the way it works is at the end of the two week registration period the registrar has two weeks to input dates and check numbers into the computer. Then by the March 11 the information goes to another person to determine run groups. That next step takes a couple weeks. The chief instructor will tell the registrar how many students to accept in each group. This is based on the number of instructors that have committed to the weekend.
The priority goes to NCC students who are registered for both days
Outside BMW members
Non-members
Anyone outside of the registation period
Students registrating for one day
We have 3 run groups. A school on the Jefferson is typically 45 students.
15 per run group. The main track is 20 per run group. Run group sizes are tried to be even. It's a judgement call on the part of the chief instructor. Some students find themselves in A one time, B in another. Others might be in B one time and C in another. It is a difficult job balancing the rungroup assignments. No one should take it personally.
For further questions shoot Doug Verner an email NCCDSRegistrar @ mac.com. (remove the spaces)
Note: I know of no other CCA driving school that allows for one day registration. Driving Sunday only puts you at a disadvantage since everyone else had the benefit of Saturday. Driving Saturday only is not enough time to absorb what you have learned. Not for me anyway.

Steven,
This is not a 2 day school though. It's a highway safety school on saturday, and a drivers' school on sunday. 2 different venues (and my wife is only interested in the highway safety portion), so saying 1 day registration doesn't have priority for the upcoming weekend doesn't make much sense.
Kevin
I would agree with Kevin...I signed up for HPDE on Sunday only. Had I known that this bumped me to last priority, even below people who missed the registration period, I might have done things differently.
Oh well...I'm a newbie and still learning the ropes here.
That's true. I forgot about that.Originally Posted by hoyabmw
When I did the HSS/DE I had the same instructor all weekend. That is probably not the case anymore.
I believe there are 40 registered for HSS and 58 for the HPDE.
I don't know how many will be accepted. It depends on the number of instructors we have.
I would think everyone who is registered for the HSS will be in.
Typically we can accept 45 on the Jeff for the HPDE, maybe even a few more.

I need to correct myself.Originally Posted by 1996 328ti
The current admissions policy is
This goes for the HSS/DE weekend as well. I don't make the rules.Students will be admitted in order of application postmark date from among the following groups until school
capacity has been reached. Within each group, applicants for both days of a school will be admitted first, and
then, if spaces remain, single-day applicants will be admitted. Ties within groups will be broken by random
drawings:
1. NCC members
2. Members of other BMW CCA chapters
3. Non-members
4. Those submitting applications postmarked outside of the registration period
