Thanks, Steven. VIR Grand East is a blast judging from last year, as is VIR Full (great dates in September). And not to be ignored is GVC at Watkins Glen, May 13-14, 2006. Looks like a Happy New Year on the track.

for those interested in VIR - the tarheel website shows sat and sun, july 8-9
I though it was odd that it would have been during the week but that's what the website said at the time. Thanks.Originally Posted by jhm5
Only problem with Grand East is laps take so long, you get less laps, and so only see each new corner a few times per day.
But I will be traveling for those dates, so got to hope for July.
But I will be running the March Madness SCCA event March 17 -19. Sprint, and two endruos in one weekend.

I'm undecided about the March event. I do like the Grand East course though. Sure it's less laps but you are still on the track the same amount of time.
I might go to Gateway Tech. Can't afford both. Heck, I can't aford either.
Four sessions with 7 laps per session = 28 times per day. And what could be better than 30+ turns per lap?Originally Posted by Pinecone

At first I did not think I would like the Grand East. Since I'm slow I don't get around the track too many times. Once everyone got the hang of it I found myself with open track almost every session. I can't drive more than 30minutes in any configuration.
You should try a 1.5 hour enduro on the VIR full course. The afternoon after 3 x 10 minute practice sessions and 3 x 20 minute qualifying sessions.
During a race, the Grand East is fine if you stick with the pack, otherwise you end up between groups and have a lapping day. Not that much fun.

So the natural question is, now that TarHeel and GVC have published their Driver School dates several weeks ago, when will NCC publish its dates on the website? We only have months of 2006 for certain NCC schools posted on the site now, which leaves calendaring problematic. I understand that this is entirely dependent on when Summit Point/BSR releases dates to us but it would be nice if BSR could make these decisions a bit more quickly as other tracks (VIR; Watkins Glen) do. Are the precise dates imminent?
The Buckeye Chapter has announced their Mid-Ohio school dates:
August 26-27
Oct 28-29
Buckeye will be hosting a BMW Club Race at Mid-Ohio as a support race for the Rolex Grand-Am weekend - June 24-25. Unfortunately for me, that is the same weekend as the Montreal F1 race.

It would be nice. AFAIK we do not have any dates yet. The months listed are months and tracks we would like. As soon as someone tells me I'll post them. Even if they are tentative.Originally Posted by dbonner
Might have to try to make one of those. Sine DC Region wil not be doing an out of region race at Mid-Ohio. Seems that when SCCA pulled the Runoffs, Mid-Ohio pulled ALL SCCA datesOriginally Posted by woodym3
