RSS and Google Desktop

Anybody get the RSS of this forum working with Google Desktop?

I tried using both
http://www.nccbmwcca.org/forum/external.php?type=rss2
and
http://www.nccbmwcca.org/forum/external.php?type=rss

and for some reason the web clips plugin (standard with Google Desktop) just wont take.

The RSS feeds from other forums running the same make of the bbs seem to work fine (RSS 2.0).

If I try to explicitly add the URL in - it say "invalid. please re-enter"

Any ideas folks?

The Latest Forum Topics on the homepage use a RSS feed from this forum so I know the feed works.
