Do you have wheels for the winter tires, or plan to use your current set for winter & summer tires?

I have a set of four black E46 steel wheels - 7 x 16 ET47 - with old Dunlop Graspic 205/55-16 winter tires. They have 6/32s of tread left, but I'd suggest replacing them due to age (although I used them last winter). You can paint them silver for a more stylish look or use the full wheel covers (I have them, too).

They look like these in this eBay auction (not my actual wheels):

    Wheels covers look like this:

I'd sell the four wheels with tires for $100 (~$75 each new). If you wanted the wheel covers (one is new/never used - ~$30 new) add $75. You could run them as is, add new tires, or paint them silver before purchasing new tires. I'm in Leesburg & work in Purcellville.

I currently have 17" wheels on the car. Would 16's fit correctly?

Yes, unless you have swapped to some type of big brake upgrade. I've had them on a 2000 328i sedan & 2002 325xi sedan.

Thanks John, I guess for winter driving going to the 16" will not be a big deal. Also the smaller tire size I can afford a set of wheels so can do seasonal swap. will I notice a big difference in drivability?
