new member - 340i

hi - first time, to be, bmw owner. placed a deposit on a 2017 340i xdrive build. now the waiting begins.

is signing up for the forum what makes you a "member" or are there dues to be paid for the additional member benefits at events and the like?

so, quick question, where's the content and/or activity? is this mostly a scheduling site for events and discussions happen on the bimmerpost/e90post type forums? was hoping this would be a good local source for content from members around me. look forward to the events at the very least and thanks for any information.

perhaps I have to wait before my membership is approved before content becomes available? generally all sections are a bunch of stickies and if anything else posts from admins.

Welcome to the club! When you send payment to BMW CCA you will be a member and assigned to the National Capital Chapter, unless you prefer a different chapter. There is no "members only" area of the NCC website. If you click on "Forum" you will see the latest posts on the far left, and a list of subjects on the main portion of the page.

There are not always daily discussions here as on some of the model-specific forums, but if you have a question, please post it. We are the largest of all of the BMW CCA chapters, and someone here will probably be able to address your issue.

You don't need to have the keys to the new 340 to attend a chapter function, so check the main calendar page and make it out to a social or function like the new 5-series launch at Passport BMW on Saturday. See you there!
