2003 e39 530i non DSP radio

Hi,
bought a used one owner car and trying to get a non DSP radio as the pixels are shot in the current one. I'm a novice at car stereo/ radio, so asking if anyone have a used one , or know where I can get one. Thanks, and appreciate any help.

If you are referring to the display in the center stack, that is the Multi Information Display (MID). The radio is actually behind the hinged door, combined with the CD or cassette player. You can have the pixels repaired by bimmersonly.com - they currently have a special: http://www.bimmeronly.com/MID-and-Ra...c_1013418.html

The problem with purchasing a used unit is that you might have the same pixel issue that your are having sooner than later.

EDIT: just heard from a M5board.com forum member in Charlotte, NC. I knew he did instrument cluster repairs, but he also repairs MID units. He has a few non-DSP MIDs that he can repair and do an exchange on. He can be reached at mail@fixels.repair
