Dear BMW Colleagues:
On Saturday, the left rear window on my 1991, 325 Convertible
will not raise up, but will go down when I pust the power window
button. All the other windows are properly working.
I am asking for suggestions, do I try to a do it yourself or is this
one of those that I take to a repair shop and have fixed?
I am in the DC Metro area/live in Arlington. Please advise on shops
that repairs power windows that are reasonable $$$ wise and

Switch the switches.... Extremely common. Happened to me yesterday in my 325i

Swap the right-rear switch with the left-rear and see if that remedies the issue on the left side. If the right side now has the problem, replace that window switch. (~$37 at the dealer.) If it doesn't, assume that it was simply a case of a bad/dirty contact.
My 325iS had the same problem on Friday (must have been a bad week for E30 switches); I swapped the right & left switches and now things are fine.
