Can I ask for your advice?

I had a very stupid issue with my 135, the turn signal burned in and the control unit also burned (from heat!) - wow. Speaking with Dan from AutoScandia in Herndon/ Reston he said BMW often pays some of that as it is a chronic issue on some 1 / 3 series from that time (2012). So much for the fun... the cost he estimated at 1500.

Now AutoScandia did not put some panel back in so water got into the light and another control unit burned out more and now BMW of Fairfax on their own asked on my behalf and BMW of NA offered to help and pay 50% of around 2000 (+500 for just that additional damage, super). When escalating the initial thing with BMW of North America they just stayed at 50% and the supervisor I just spoke with made clear in the typical American way I can escalate all I want but it will not change.

Are there any dealers of used parts and would it be cheaper to try and buy the whole headlight assembly used? BMW of Fairfax will charge me around 1200 total, any clues or takers?

Please help, I need to figure out somewhat soon if I want to ask BMW of Fairfax to complete this, or find this part elsewhere for less. I hope this forum is the right one to ask, bear with me if this is in the wrong forum or so.

I am really fed up with this, both AutoScandia and BMW themselves. I have 25k miles on a 2012 model, CPO even, for what? I am close to ask the Fairfax dealership to give me an offer and be done with it, and buy an Audi S3 (sorry folks, should not have said that I guess).
