    Lightbulb Dashboard indicator lights

    2004 BMW X5 3.0 engine AWD with 85K miles.
    The check low brake linings indicator is on. But after checking the Brakes out all are good. Used non-OEM 16-pin scan tool to reset the indicator. Driving car battery light on dash came on then cluster lights all came on then car cut off. At this time all related fuses for charging the system are ok. 12-volts at the alternator.

    Is there a reset for this condition?? Note: the 4WD indicator is yellow at the dash and it stays on. Please help...

    No clue whether the non-OEM scan tool might have been a problem, but check your battery.
