I am a new member to BMW CCA. My wife and I are in love with the ultimate driving machine.
My wife was ready to purchase a new convertible about three years ago. I saw a 2009 128i convertible at a local car lot and told her to take for a test drive. She agreed if I bought myself a new surfboard for my birthday. I bought the board and headed to the east coast to catch a hurricane swell. When I returned home that space grey convertible was in the garage. I took her out for a test drive and I was hooked. I never thought that I would enjoy driving any vehicle so much. The performance and handling was exhilarating, but left me wanting more. Jump forward three years of satisfying enjoyment and we are due for a new convertible top due to the back window separating. Sure enough, I spot a 2012 135i in space grey. We take her for a test drive and make a deal. We did not come up with a name for our first BMW but after the first day we both decided to name this one "Storm". She is dark and grey and roars like thunder. Storm will pacify us until we can afford to upgrade to an M series. Although Storm is officially my wife's car, she is my baby. I believe we will own a BMW until we can no longer drive.
