Please join us for a great drive on some of Maryland's finest rural backroads! We will meet at 7:30am at Starbucks in Germantown, MD, I suggest arriving early to grab some food and coffee, since lunch isn't until 12:30pm or 1pm. We will meander through the counties of Montgomery, Frederick, Carroll, Howard, and Anne Arundel.

Our first stop will be at Catoctin Moutain Orchard (CMO) in Thurmont, MD. If you haven't been on our previous Pie Runs, then you are in for a treat. They have the best pies I've ever tasted in Maryland and people are known to buy 12+ pies! This is a mom and pop run store/orchard specializing in homemade pies, either fresh baked or uncooked frozen. They also have fresh fruits, cookies, preserves, jellys, dressings, cider, etc....

Note: I highly recommend ordering your pies ahead of time since we are a large group. The pies can be ordered freshly baked or frozen. Some people do bring a cooler with them to keep their pies from sliding around in the trunk, especially since we have a lot more fun driving to do. The pies range in price from $8.95-$11.95. Check their site for the different types of pie.

In order to insure you get the pies you want, you can pre-order with CMO up until June 19th. Please reference the "BMW Club".

Our next stop will be lunch at Bavarian Brauhaus in Hanover, MD. This is a very highly rated, family owned German restaurant that is relatively new to the scene. The owner, Max Eggerl (along with his wife Sandy) is the great-nephew of Max Blob, who founded Blob's Park in Jessup, MD. in 1933. Blob's Park was a German themed gathering place with beer garden, but it has since closed. Bavarian Brauhaus serves authentic German cuisine that will be sure to please our group. They also have a large selection of German beer with 7 beers on tap, and over 40 bottled beers.

You will be able to order anything off of the lunch and dinner menu. They will not be able to do seperate checks, but rather group checks by table.

This is always one of our more popular events, as we have more than 50 people signed up so far. Registration is required, so please sign up before this Wednesday.
