Woodcliff Lake, N.J. — May 27, 2014 . . . The Continental Tire Sports Car Championship headlined the racing at Lime Rock Park, in Lakeville, Conn., on May 24 with BMW teams racing to two top-five finishes in the Street Tuner class and two top-10 finishes in the Grand Sport class. In a departure from the season’s opening three rounds, the results marked the first time a BMW did not finish on either class podium.

The starting grids for each of Saturday's 150-minute races were determined by points standings because heavy rain forced an end to Friday's qualifying sessions. That meant three BMWs in the top-10 Street Tuner and two in the top-five Grand Sport starting positions, including the pole for GS points leaders John Edwards and Trent Hindman.

The Street Tuner race ended with the No. 56 Murillo Racing 328i of Eric Foss and Jeff Mosing finishing fourth and the No. 82 BimmerWorld Racing 328i of James Colborn and Seth Thomas fifth. Further back in the field, Ted Giovanis and David Murry finished seventh in the No. 64 Team TGM 328i. The No. 81 BimmerWorld Racing 328i of Tyler Cooke and Gregory Liefooghe finished ninth after leading a BMW team high of 11 laps during the race.
