I worked the station by the stop box. About 40-50% of the drivers hit the brakes after, or just before, the REAR wheels cleared the timer, not the front wheels. The length of the car makes a big diff...

X classes are so broad as it is I don't know if that matters much. You've got bone stock/tuner/mod all lumped in together. I actually judge my times, or consider my primary competition, the...
Hey- noobie question... how do we know if we qualified for a trophy? Was it top 3 of each, top 5, etc...? Just want to know if I qualify for the reduced season subscription before I register.
I like that idea and with a heavy sedan like I have I can use the extra grip up front anyway. The rotation is a huge bonus too. Thanks!
It's an Infiniti G35 sedan, 07 sport. Thanks for the advice, the 225/45 gives me a tad more wheel gap in the front and a little more front lean but I think you're right.
I know this is an old thread but I need to ask the AX brain trust some advice on an upcoming tire purchase. I have a very odd OEM front tire size, 225/50R18s on 7.5" rims. The rears are 8.5" rims...
Holy crap! How did I manage 5th in X2? I guess showing up really does pay off. I missed the last 2 events and only made 5 total so I figured I'd be at the bottom of the list somewhere. Don't know...
Sorry I missed this one it looks like it was a great course. Unfortunately I'm traveling during the next one too so I'm done for the year. :( I had a great time this season, my first, and learned a...
There was a guys shooting in the afternoon. Think he ducked for cover in the rain. Here's the link to pics for sale-

Looks like I won't make it even though I registered (215/X2). Business trip extended. Bummer, I finally got my suspension work done too. See you all next time.
Tim
No problem!
Thanks Doug! Black Infiniti G35. Not the shiny new black G37, the old not-so shiny anymore 35.
Thanks Katie but no pics of poor old #215? Maybe next time.
Fantastic job on the course and on running a smooth event guys. I had a blast even though I was disappointed with my times. I finally got it together in the fun runs. Oh well. Thanks to AJ and all...
Sorry about that. I actually had it on my calendar as the sign up date for weeks due to the date on DLB. Hope it doesn't cause too much trouble.
I registered on DLB and appear to be the only entry in the event. Did I do something wrong, jump the gun, or am I just ridiculously early?
2nd event ever + stock non-sport suspension + school last weekend + great driving advice from everyone I talked to = 3 clean runs and a mid-pack finish. I'm cool with that.
Got it. Thanks guys.
Sorry to be a pain but that just looped me back to the same page again.
Any idea why I'm not granted access to that link? I'm a member and logged in.....
I know I'm just a rookie and haven't seen many courses, but I really liked this one for exactly the reasons you stated. The focus on driving and not figuring out a labyrinth of cones. I had a total...
And me in a boat of a mostly stock Infiniti sedan..... we'll see how much I learned in class last Saturday. Yikes.
Hey AJ! I'll take you up on the ride-along. 115 - Black Infiniti G. (tim)
Any chance we'll see times from our afternoon runs? I understand the rain screwed up the timing but I thought maybe you got at least some of the runs....
My one and only autocross was your last event of 09 in a torrential downpour. The only way I know to do this is in an inch of water so if it rains it's all good.
