I wish there was a way to determine BMW's actual MSRP for parts. The 10/15/20% off rule is basically worthless when the "list" price is some made up number of the parts manager's choosing. A...
One more dissatisfied J&F customer here. They simply charge too much for the service they provide.
I think they all cleared out by 2:30 or so. Did you happen to see a red toolbox? I left it there and the shop owner said he's leave it out. When I went back it wasn't there. :(
+1 w/r/t thanks! I left my toolbox there, though, so I have to go back to get it. There goes another $5 on tolls! :)
Cool, thanks I'll be there at 9. Look for me standing around looking puzzled next to the green 528i.
If anyone who's going to the DIY session tomorrow has an e39 Bentley manual, I'd love to borrow it! I have a few writeups from the internet that describe what I want to do, but the Bentley is the...
If they can make something with e30 325i straight-line performance, Mini Cooper fuel economy and Z4-like handling, they'll have a winner. Oh yeah, and it has to stay in the mid 20s for price.
This was the writeup I meant to link to:

Hmm. No sign of needing new axle nuts, grease seals, or dust caps in this writeup. Maybe the e39 is different?
Pelicanparts.com has them for $107 a side, plus about $20 in new bolts. That was the best price I found, and free ground shipping is thrown in. It takes a week to arrive though, since they're in...
Kevin, whereabouts in NoVA are you? I can probably come pick it up.
I ordered new wheel bearings for my e39 just a few seconds ago. You two have me scared! They've been saying, "wah wah wah" to me for awhile now.
I might be interested in the gauge cluster.
Do you know what the final failure mode is for a wheel bearing? What would happen if you just didn't ever change it?
Looking for style 29's (BBS basketweave) wheels in decent shape and accompanying hubcaps. Any random assortment of either I'd be interested in buying.
Scany, let me know if you ever need a hand. I'm just up the street from you in Courthouse and I have an e39 as well.
It does get a little shadier when you realize that these camera makers don't typically just sell the units to the jurisdiction, they hand 'em out for a loss and then take a cut of the ticket revenue.
beertech... I recognize that. Are you on bimmerforums?
For my money, it's worthwhile to have a car I can afford to walk away from in the event of a track mishap. My e30 is worth more in parts than as a car, and insurance runs me about $10 a month as a...
Is someone gonna move the lamp posts for us?
So if we lose the pink ball on the first stroke, does that mean an automatic best score? "Yes, I shot a 1 with the pink ball!"
I'd be up for this though.
Not sure. I looked into it though. It varies by county and is kind of a pain in the ass in addition to the cost.
Have you given any thought to becoming a dealer?
Yeah, it was a good response. The funny thing is that I wrote that email to him about 10 months ago. :D
