Sent you a message, Rob.
My insurance company just sent my renewal documentation, killing several more trees, and it has some new discounts that I've never seen before. Does anyone in Virginia have these? And of course, no...
But be sure and give them all 5s, of course, when that overly-happy telemarketer calls you! I swear, the lady used the words "great" and "fabulous" more than should be legal in a 3 minute...
I'll provide a 2nd for TNT.
That last clip is great. I love how the lady just gets out like nothing has happened.
Arlington has become less friendly and now just gives a 10% discount on parts. They must have needed the extra funds to open their Pentagon City location.
You have that right! I love to see the econometer go to the 50mpg+ range. Especially when I spent $43 for gas this morning.
If you want to get to the track at 7 when it opens, just leave Alexandria around 5:45am.
You? Speeding? I find that hard to believe.
And Virginia is trying to raise the gas tax to help fund our transportation problem. Nice.
Oh, come on, those ads are funny:
"Sweetie, I can't hear the sound of the engine with all that yackin'!"
It actually took the same time to get to the event last year in Manassas as it did to the event in Bowie from Alexandria. I-66 traffic sucks pretty much 24/7, but the beltway is not that bad in the...
Colin--
If you want some sand, come to my condo parking lot. When I left for work Tuesday morning, it was fine even for my car (maybe 1" of snow if I'm feeling generous). When I came home...
They are on 395, too. I hate them. But it's not like I can write anyone and complain about that. :icon_frow I test my reaction time to see how quickly I can silence the buzz.
And what good do...
Some companies will claim to lose money, but some transactions could be non-cash transactions such as amortization and depreciation.
If you have access to the Wall Street Journal, there is a very interesting article in today's (27 Oct 05) edition (page A1) about the huge expenses that Bridgestone and Michelin incur on the F1...
Hey, the Hokies weren't on TV on Sunday so there was no need to be on the couch that day. :)
And who knew I'd be able to catch the end of the Astros-Braves game when I got home around 6:30pm? ...
:icon_lol: Funny how this happens. More time indeed (and more money, but well worth it).
Pete, I'll send you those email addresses this evening when I get home.

I was driving home from work this afternoon and it was raining so hard you couldn't see crap going 20mph. On the bright side, everyone was slowing down so no one was trying to be Speed Racer.
...
And I was discouraged more this morning when the news reported that areas west of I-95 and specifically in the mountains would be in the bullseye zone for 3-5 inches of rain. :icon_cry:
You lucky guy. That's only 2 tanks of gas!
My "reference" gas station in Arlington jumped overnight from $2.939 to $3.219 for premium. Even the cheap stuff was $3.02. Sadly, until gas gets to about $8/gallon it is still cheaper for me to...
It's still not $3 (at least it wasn't this morning--could be by afternoon). Ranting might be a bit more tame. Suddenly my spending $3+ for gas seems okay because I still have a home and car. And a...
Be sure and tell your insurance company you want an OEM windshield. I asked for that and got it. Total cost was less than my $250 deductible.
The bills are out. :icon_cry: It's like making 2 extra car payments next month.
