09/30/2016 - 10/01/2016 - Sunrise to Sunset Tour II - CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER
WITH MUCH REGRET, THIS YEAR'S TOUR IS CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER. SATURDAY IS FORECAST AS RAIN AND/OR OVERCAST. THE WHOLE POINT OF THIS TOUR IS TO SEE THE SUN. PLUS DRIVING ACROSS THE STATE IN RAIN IS NO FUN.
We had a blast last year. The sunrise was gorgeous. The sunse.....was not so seen. Everyone still had a good. We will start in Bowie and travel to Chincoteague, Va. for an overnight stay. We will then rise Saturday to arrive on the beach for the sunrise. We will then travel to Skyline Drive, stopping along the way for breakfast and lunch, for the sunset.
To answer the question of why this tour happens on a Friday to Saturday, it is because this tour takes plenty out of you. To do this on a Saturday to Sunday and have people drive home a couple of hours Sunday night and then get up for work on Monday just seems cruel and unusual.
