July 9, 2007</p> The weekend of July 7 and 8 was an intense one for BMW racers, with events in Formula One, WTCC, Koni Challenge, World Challenge and Formula BMW. The best finishes outside of Formula BMW, where a BMW win is guaranteed, were in the World Touring Car Championship in Portugal, with defending champion Andy Priaulx winning his first race of the season in Portugal, and in Koni Challenge at Watkins Glen, where the second place finish of Jeff Segal and Jep Thornton in their Automatic Racing M3 moved them into the series points
