Anyone going? My wife has to work so I am free to do what I want!!
I made a 5-day event out of it with a friend's '71 Nevada 2002. Drove 303 miles Thursday via back roads to friend's farm near Willis, Virginia. Met up with two friends along the way. More friends arrived that evening. Friday we worked the rally that was put on by David Roach and Mike Leeper from NCC. Terrific roads in that area of NC north of Winston-Salem. Back to Willis for dinner. Saturday three 2002s and one E12 528i caravaned to W-S for the big show. I heard 282 cars were on display. Here is a video someone posted from the event. Long, but a little viewing will give you an idea of the cars and Old Salem. http://www.youtube.com:80/watch?v=GA-LV_F89o8
Sunday we joined up with a very brisk 2002 tour. We only did the short section between Wooline and Floyd (VA), but the roads will be worth a re-visit. Yesterday I took a leisurely route home that included 112 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Wow that was a long video, but thanks for posting Woody. The group of e30 M3s at the end was really nice.
Wasn't it held in conjunction with SharkFest? Didn't see that many
I didn't see all of the cars there, and apparently whoever took this video didn't either. Someone told me that 50 or so E24 6-series were part of the Sharkfest gathering and parked one street over.
The all-day long free samples of Spaten and Franziskanner beers were a big distraction for me.
