Tech Inspection

Does anyone have a sample PDF of a Drivers' School tech inspection form? I just took my car to J&F Motors this morning and wanted to have their opinion on its track-worthiness, but they wanted a copy of the BMW tech inspection form.

Why does this have a "Sample" watermark? Aren't we supposed to print this and take it to the shop?

The tech form on the website is a sample. It is what you can expect to receive in your registration envelope.

BTW- We will be on the Jefferson now due to the uncertainty of the Shenandoah.

Repaired Tire

One of my tires had a slow leak (1-2 lb/week) before being repaired. Will this pass the tech inspection? Is it safe to run a repaired tire at the track or should I replace it?

If it was properly repaired with a patch on the inside there is no problem. Depends where the leak was. Close to the sidewall I would not use it. If it was a bad valve stem or dirt in the bead, then no issue. A patched tire looses one speed rating.

The Jefferson is all turns. Your tires will be getting a workout.
