Hey Brian! I’ve had my PPF done a couple of times around the Annapolis/Eastern Shore area, so I can share what worked for me. The key thing is finding someone who’s patient and detail-oriented—PPF isn’t something you want rushed. A lot of shops claim they can do it, but the quality can vary big time.
I went with a smaller, local shop rather than the big national chains, and they did a really clean job with no bubbles or lifting after a few months. One tip: ask to see a recent install in person if possible—that way you can check the edges and corners. Also, don’t stress too much about minor paint chips under the film; a good installer will smooth everything out so it looks seamless.
Overall, it’s worth paying a bit more for experience rather than going with the cheapest option. Once it’s on, it makes car washes and daily driving a lot less stressful.
