I have two 1985 635CSi's . They both run well but I've got to replace the tires on the automatic and I'm thinking I may be better off changing the rims on that one and keeping the orginals on the stick. What size/type rim should I switch to and what type of tire that will come closest to maintaining the car's performance?
Thanks again, Richard

What size does it have now? If metric TRXs, go to a set of 16". Almost any current tires will be similar if not better to what were on it originally!
Check with the Roadfly E24 forum - I'm sure you'll find much in the archives.

I run Ronal/ACT LS wheels in 16x8.5" with 225/50R16 Yokohama AVS-ES100 tires.
www.BigCoupe.com has a wheel fitment calculator that runs as an Excel spreadsheet, if you look in the Links>Tires section.
