:icon_blah Paul and all, what's the approximate driving distance from our area to this event. Trying to calculate whether this is an overnight or a day trip there and back. Thanks for your valuable input.

its not far outside of NYC, so you can make a day trip out of it

its a 4hr drive from College Park, MD to Flanders, NJ according to MapQuest.

Flanders is about an hour West of NYC.

there are quite a few people from e90post that are planning a weekend for this event, which isnt a bad idea. just not sure yet if I can swing that; possibly just staying over Sat night somewhere.

if there are people interested in a rally, i'm sure we can get a few people to join.

BTW there are more than 200+ registered so far, with more than a month to go. maybe they can beat our ChapterFest numbers :D

plenty more vendors/prizes added, almost daily.

Just as a point of reference... I cruised up to Jersey two weeks ago, Fairfax to Fort Lee. 4.5 hours on mapquest, 3.5 actual. Thats non stop, and a not at all heavy foot:biggrin:. I did a day trip, long day in the car but an easy drive.

just updated the 1st post that has a full list of prizes so far (and more to come).

I'd say that there's probably about $20k+ worth of prizes with Tischer just providing a bunch of new items.

I don't think I will make it.:frown: But here's a suggestion for the caravan. If there are many tolls along the route, having an E-ZPASS will help keep the group together.

e-z pass is a good idea... if I can find me one.

Just reminder
A few of us are caravaning to the meet on Sat. There is a group in N. Va meeting the rest of the group in MD.

If you are in VA we will meet @<hidden> the Dunkin Dounts in Tysons. It is off Rt 7 across from the Ford Dealer.
WE WILL DEPART Dunkin Donuts at 6AM SHARP. AT 6:01AM WE WILL BE GONE.
Dunkin Donuts
8119 Watson St
Mc Lean, VA 22102

We will meet the rest of the group at the rest stop on 95N in MD just north of the Rt 216 exit on the NORTHBOUND SIDE (NOT THE REST STOP ON THE SOUTHBOUND SIDE).
WE WILL DEPART HERE @<hidden> 7AM SHARP. AT 7:01AM WE WILL BE GONE.

We will stop in Philly for cheesesteaks at Pat's or Geno's and then continue on to Flanders.

If you have EZ-PASS don't foget it, show up with a full tank of gas and if you have walkie-talkies bring them. I have two of which I will lend one to someone.

Pics are slowly coming in. Good time yesterday and great turnout. About 400 cars from up and down the East Coast. The best part was probably the caravan up to NJ (including a breakfast consisting of Pats/Genos Cheesesteaks).

Saw some really great looking cars (and some not so great) and a lot of love for the Roundel.
