March is usually the Full Course, isn't it?

Be sure your dual chapter dues are paid up. ;)

you need to pay dues in the other chapter to do the track event???You need to be a Tarheel member for early registration. It's 15.30/year.

Tarheel gives priority to their chapter members and the events fill up almost immediately. The fee for a dual membership is certainly worth it to improve your chances of getting in the Tarheel schools.

I guess this flew over my head at first. I've been thinking of the Trackdaze event all along untill Craig mentioned this.. Four days at the track with the unproven high milage 318iS won't go well I think. What about starting the season slowly.. :)

Maybe you try to find an event at the Jefferson at Summit Point if you're concerned with reliability. There are a few one day events for around $150 that happen there. Just a thought.

Definitely a good thought. We'll be sure to run as many events as possible. It's just four days would be too much. Seems like the car will be ready. Some things you just can't prepare yourself for anyhow. Some obstacles makes it interesting  especially when you have great helpful people around you in the paddock (..I've experienced).

Same here, Steven. Looks like it's a common problem for many of us, fortunately or unfortunately. I just pinged Sandy Ford to inform her of the difficulty.

I did have to enter a lot of my information again though.
I have no clue how many schools I've done.
More than I care to add up.

I was surprised by that as well. After you've done a track more than 3 or 4 times over more than 2 years, it is really hard to keep an accurate tally. Or is it a problem with our memory banks?

Just follow what NASA does and keep a logbook, plus they are great to have if you do schools from a number of different groups, have a written record of how you did in the past, what you thought you did well on, and what you think you need to work on.

I've had several students at BMWCCA or SCCA PDX events ask me to make entries in their NASA logbooks. Great idea.

This is my first time registering with Tarheel via Motorsportreg - and I found it as frustrating as all of you. But now they've charged my credit card - and the Tarheel site says confirmations are sent "in the next few days" following registration - but I've heard nothing about getting in or getting rejected.

Whose done this before and can explain what to expect? Do any of you have your confirmations yet?
THANKS

The registration process is not that bad.
They still need to work out a few kinks.
You wouldn't be on the confirmed list unless you are in.

From what I read on Tarheel's website, Sandy travels for work.
Download what you need and see you there.

ALRIGHT, I'm in!

Thanks Steven. I didn't realize you could find a list of confirmed registrants at Motorsportreg.com. I was kinda thinking they'd notify people via email. Live and learn.

In case anyone else is similarly challenged with navigating their site...

Click on REGISTER for the event, then click on SEE REQUIREMENTS. That will get you to a Dashboard from where you can "See Who Else Is Attending". This is the list of confirmed people. It's a "Pull" system as opposed to "Push". I.e. you have to go and look (and know where to look) to see if you got in. There are no notifications.

I rather like the NCC system ;)

I rather like the NCC system ;)At least the NCC system doesn't require you to be at the computer at a specific time.
And this being the 3rd year doing the pre-reg system, not one person had a problem registering. Remembering to mail the form in is another story.

You see the latest weather?
It went from rain, to nice to this (http://www.accuweather.com/forecast3.asp?partner=forecastfox&traveler=1&zipChg=1&zipcode=24540&metric=0).
Cloudy; periods of snow and rain in the morning followed by a couple of showers in the afternoon
And to think I sold my snows. :(

It's crazy to think I just checked that and was coming here to post it. Today was 62 there while it snowed in N VA. Things will come around as long as everyone buys rain gear/cold gear to prepare....we can trick it!

Nice meeting you Steven at the event. Hope your strut mount situation yields you a new mod!

Here's the camber kit and perches I was telling you about...

http://www.vorshlag.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_4_37&products_id=28

Their quote: Designed for maximum suspension bump travel. More than an inch more strut travel than some of our competitors! Equates to it will lower your car an inch so you can run taller springs and still sit at the same height.
