Eric,

If I am available on the 7th, can I help out with some instruction...??

Since I have spent 2 years with Brian Hair, maybe I can help pass on some of his knowledge...second hand of course, and a little diluted.

Thanks, hope I can help.

Jason,

Thanks for the offer. Pete is handling the instructors. I've emailed him a link to this thread so he can contact you.

Are you saying SHE should be your co-driver or that she has better looking hair?

She would probably beat Woody in your car. ZING!

I can't make this one :(
Sorry guys - I've pretty much been a non-presence as of late... hopefully some things will change and I'll get a little more free time on my hands - free time to fill with fun car stuff...
But good luck to the instructors, and I hope the school goes well for all the students.
Cheers,
~C

I filled out the online registration and received the basic email confirmation reply. Will there be another confirmation that the class is not full and I am indeed registered or do I just show up on the day of the event?

Thanks!

A status email will be going out this weekend. It looks like all the members who registered with little/no experience should get in. I have to wait-list some people who have more experience or are non-members until registration closes.

Did this email go out and I miss it? Also, is there a schedule forthcoming?

Just trying to plan my weekend. Thanks!

Please be at the event location no later than 8:00 am (earlier would be preferred) for registration and tech inspection.

The first batch of confirmation emails have gone out. I'll have to see how many people cancel (there usually are a bunch) before I let in another group.

Eric, I think I double clicked when I registered. I received two confirmations and two emails from you this morning. I hope that doesn't mess up your count.

Oh yeah, I won't be cancelling!

Is there indoor classroom time? Looks like temps will be brisk and I'm wondering if there's a place to warm up?

Thanks!

From what I heard, there will be a classroom session in the morning. I'm not sure if lunch will also be inside.

I learned more in the rain than any other last year. Weeeee.
I live in Sykesville, so even if I don't get in, I'll stop over and help.

I too believe you learn a lot more about car control in the rain.

Thanks for volunteering to help. We can always use another person!

That was quick, especially considering the timing/electronics fiasco. Thanks Kevin!

Anyone else windburned?

Yes, my lips are chapped and so are my hands.

I wanted to thank all of the volunteer instructors and facilitators for helping us put on this event. Without you guys, there would be no school.

Thanks!

You're welcome Alex (See what happens when Adam doesn't have the computers :) )

As for the results error, I'm guessing that somebody didn't have the right number on their car (probably Marc DeLaVergne. I recall that he said he was supposed to drive a 2002 but brought an M Coupe) Because we didn't have the run data in the computers, it wasn't caught while we were running. If anyone can contact Marc and confirm this, I'll fix the results.

Man, that was fun! I had a great time. There were some computer glitches that slowed things down but I learned a lot. I still can't believe I got FTD. I did NOT expect that.

Thanks to everyone involved!

Woohoo, that was fun! I think I may become addicted. Hopefully, the freezer door will be closed by the 28th???

It was a great progam. I learned a lot - despite the tundra-like conditions.

Mahalo (Thank you) again to all who organized this event and especially those stood out in the cold wind to teach us!

Could be that there were more computer glitches then you think.

:p

Anyway, freezing temps and all it was fun. Hope to see you all at our next autocross.
