DAYTONA, FL -- At just over six hours in to the 45th running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona Saturday, the race ran under a brief full-course yellow for the first time. At 8 pm, after an improbable six hours of green flag racing, the brief yellow to tow a Porsche out of harm's way, and 20 minutes into the return to green, the leader on Daytona’s 3.56-mile circuit was the Red Bull-Brumos Porsche-Riley of David Donohue, Darren Law, Buddy Rice, and Scott Sharp, which had just taken over from the Target-Ganassi Lexus Riley Daytona Prototype of Scott Pruett, Juan Pablo Montoya, and Salvador Duran. The lone BMW-powered contender, the SigalSport BMW-Riley Daytona Prototype, was running in fifth position with Bill Auberlen at the wheel.
