New talk on the Grand Am board PTG and BMW to split next year?

Hey, over on the Grand Am board:

Driver Matt Connolly possibly made a big "Oops" and stated that PTG and BMW are going to split ways next year. Anyone even faintly heard anythiing about this?

Word I've read is that BMW didn't want to support the e46m3 anymore and had no other car eligible for a series PTG wants to run.

Word I heard it's just a rumor. I guess we can ask Tom in January.

On a Bimmerforums thread about this someone made a comment about PTG's lack of success this season. Tom M Jr. replied with an "Ouch", but no denial of the rumor.
