I think calling an Enzo "beautiful" is a bit like calling an Isetta "spacious". Just not a word you think of at first glance.

And what about those wacky, mysterious German drivers who wreck your Enzo and then flee into the hills with a cupacabra, Fox Mulder and a sasquatch in tow...:icon_doh:

:)

I guess the Enzo "ugly" and "beautiful" camps have not exactly forgotten their divisions.

Pretty wacky story concocted by Mr. Stefan. I really wonder if there was an SLR that he was racing or was that made up too? If there was an SLR racing - that shouldn't be too difficult for them to track down.

Personally, I think that the F40 was the pinnacle of Ferrari Design... but regardless of how ugly you believe the Enzo to be, it did do an amazing job of preventing occupant injury.

According to The Register (http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2006/02/23/eriksson_ferrari_crash/), he's the former CEO of Gizmondo Europe.

I heard a lot of discussion in regards to the driver was racing a SLR.

Oh Boy! The Plot thickens!

Now we have Scotland Yard and a Swedish Bank involved!

This should be fun!

The driver, Dietrich, is probably hiding out in that same place where that guy who killed OJ's wife has been hiding - they'll never find him there...

This is almost as sad as when Sonny Crockett's Black Ferrari Daytona was blown up in Season 3 of Miami Vice...

My friend tells me that the driver is still hiding out in the hills in the area near the crash and he's being kept alive by Bobby Brady, who is bringing him franks 'n beans hidden in a flashlight...

I know, I just hope the cops get to him before that giant tarantula finds him... And woe unto him if he tries surfing in the meantime.

Or hula dancing or laying in a hotel bed with heavy, poor affixed items on the wall laying over him.

Again, this site has been following the story http://www.wreckedexotics.com/special/enzo/

Looks like Stefan may be in more trouble. After police completed a 6 hour search of his home this past weekend, they discovered firearms and a white substance which they believe to be cocaine. His official arrest was for the theft of 2 Ferrari Enzos and a Mercedes SLR. The car collection is estimated to be worth $3.5 million. There is also word that Stefan may be subject to deportation after this is all said and done.

Update: Apr 17 - 2:00 PM EST Stefan Eriksson is now facing up to 14 years in prison after being charged today with 9 criminal counts including drunk driving, embezzlement, grand theft auto, possession of a firearm, possession of cocaine, and other related charges.

Update: Apr 21 - 11:00 AM EST WreckedExotics.com Exclusive!!!
A person claiming to be close to the investigation has anonymously contacted WreckedExotics.com and provided some interesting information we'd like to share with you. This information, if true, should be made public in the next couple of weeks. As a disclaimer: we cannot verify the authenticity of these claims.
Claim #1: When police searched Stefan's house, they discovered a laptop with incriminating photos of both Stefan Erikkson and Carl Freer. (Carl Freer is the former chief executive of Gizmondo).

Claim #2: Both Stefan and Carl are involved in another business which may turn out to be their next Gizmondo. They are involved with a company which will be marketing cellphones to college students. Although the company has no products, customers, or revenue, it has 46 million shares traded at around $1 per share.

Again, the above claims may turn out to be pure speculation. We should find out within the next couple of weeks if they are true. So the question begs, why would we at WreckedExotics take any of this seriously? Because one of the claims he made has been independently verified to be true. As unbelievable as it sounds, Stefan not only wrecked a Ferrari Enzo, but he has also wrecked a Mercedes McLaren SLR back in England about a year ago. WreckedExotics has obtained photos of this wreck, but unfortunately, we do not have permission to make them public. One thing is for sure, Stefan is truly the king of wrecked exotic cars
