11/08/2014 - Terror Behind the Walls & Philly Cheesesteaks

11/8 - Terror Behind the Walls and Cheesesteaks: http://msreg.com/TerrorSteaks

We will visit take a our Bimmers to the City of Brotherly Love for some haunted fun and cheesesteaks.

We will visit the Terror Behind the Walls haunted house at Eastern State Penitentiary. PLEASE READ THEIR FAQ section. There are rules for attire and children. Cost is $28 for entry. Tickets will be purchased by the tourmiester in advance and dispersed Because the lot next to the prison is small and not conducive to cars allergic to dings and scratches, we will park at the new Philadelphia Zoo garage. Parking cost is $13. There is a free shuttle to take us to the prison.

If you would like to tour the prison prior to the haunted tour: http://www.easternstate.org/events

For our cheese steaks we will stop by Max's Steaks. I grew up equidistant between NY & Philly. I have been to every popular known cheese steak joint in Philly including the tourist traps, Pat's and Geno's. I have to say that byMax's is one of the best so far. Of course this could turn into a which oil is best for my car, so I digress.

Max's however is not in the best neighborhood. Myself and Chapter President Paul have been three times (twice with our significant other) and we have not had any issues. When we did the visit with the NCC tour group, there were no issues either. Fun and friendly atmosphere. Max's has a great parking lot next door. Read the below reviews for more insight. Seating is extremely limited. If push comes to shove we can always head over to the Philly Zoo parking garage where we will park for the Haunted Prison and eat there. So bring a chair.

Once done eating feel free to take a stroll along the Schuylkill River down to the Museum of Art or take the shuttle until we have to make our way over to the prison..
