I live in Fairfax City VA, and have been in the DC area since 1997. My first BMW was a high mileage 2002 body/1602 engine I bought in Belgium, then an R90S followed by an R100RT (rode it to Greece and many other countries) in Holland. Stateside I then bought a 1976 2002 in excellent condition, then my first new BMW CAR (the R100RT was my first new BMW bike) in 1984 - a Hennarood 325e. It was my everyday driver which I adored til some cretin totaled it. Then a 1997 635Csi, 2000 330i, 2007 335i, 2011 335i, 2012 X5 Diesel and this year a 2007 Z4 MCoupe. Iver attended two HPDEs - one with the 2007 335 (Oktoberfest at Watkins Glen for 3 tracjk days) and this year a HPDE with Z4 M Coupe (Summit Point for 2 days). I also attended the BMW School and M Schools in SC last year.
I also owned a Kharman Ghia (my first car), VW Sciracco, Porche 968 cabrio, MB 320e, and an Audi A4 2.0T. I've only owned German cars with one brief exception in Belgium when I owned a Toyota Celica ST 2.0 (nice car). Oddly, the only American-built car I've owned is the X5 that I bought almost 2 years ago. It's a diesel and it's one of the best driving "cars" I've ever owned (and that's coming form a guy who had had two 1998 Land Cruisers and a Land Rover (big mistake that one)).
