07/11/2013 - July Columbia Social - Champps, Columbia Mall (BMW Heritage Showcase)
Come on out to one of our favorite hangout spots, Champps at Columbia Mall. We will park at the TOP of the parking garage located between Champps and Nordstroms and across from the AMC movie theatre. Inside, we'll have our normal private area, taking over the entire top upstairs area filled with TVs and overlooking the restaurant and bar area.
July also continues our 'BMW Heritage Showcase' which will feature those chassis that made BMW stand for both practicality and high performance. Each month will focus on specific chassis, and because we love all things Roundel, ALL chassis are encouraged to come out and pay homage to our ancestors. For both July and August, we'll have several raffles for the following BMWs that come out and show their car:
E31 - 8 series 1990-1998
E32 - 7 series 1987-1994
E34 - 5 series 1989-1995
All X series - X3/X5/X6
All Wagons - regardless of chassis
In order to continue having future socials, the club will cover up to $10/member (which includes food and soft drinks), so we'll collect $ to help cover the remaining part of the bill (usually $10-20/head including tax and tip). Those who have more drinks or order more expensive food items will need to chip in more than those who stay within the $10/head limit.
Get there early to get a good spot at the top of the parking garage; we'll hangout starting at 6p (weather permitting) and go inside by 7pm.
Bump for this month's Columbia meet and the start of celebrating a different set of chassis for our BMW Heritage Showcase. For both July and Aug, we will highlight all e31 through e34, ALL X series, and ALL wagons (regardless of chassis). We always love seeing some of the older 5, 7, & 8 series and it's rare for any wagon or X series to show up, so now is the time to shine!
Plus, we return to one of our old stomping grounds, Champps at Columbia Mall.

Last call for tonight's fun times at Champps...seems like we'll have a packed house again. If, by some small, distant, remote possibility that we see some rare rain drops, we'll meet on the 2nd floor of the parking garage. Otherwise, I'll see everyone on the top deck at 6pm.
Remember, lets see those cars that we're featuring this month in our BMW Heritage Showcase. It'll be great to see all the sport sedans, big coupes, luxury barges, and family haulers that all share a great Bavarian tradition.
