01 530i or 97 528i

Looking at either an 01 530i with 133k on it or a 97 528i with 98k on it. Both cars are the same price. Is one better than the other? Anything I should pay close attention to? Should I be looking for something else? This will pretty much be used my d/d. Both cars are in the $5500 range.

Go with the newer one - updated head/tail lights & grill = nicer look, IMHO. Both require a number of maintenance items with that mileage. Do they come with service records?
