So IF Sauber gets a spot on the grid:
1. What engines will they use. The failed Qadbak deal was supposed to use Ferrari engines.
2. What will Mario Theisen do?
3. Who will drive for them? Heidfeld seems a natural.

Plus there is Cosworth and plenty of others. Sauber has a good eye for talented drivers, picking one Michael Schumacher to drive a Sauber Mercedes C11 comes to mind...

Sauber granted the 13th slot, Toyota's out, Kimi off to WRC, Renault maybe selling to Prodrive, and maybe just maybe Schumi driving again- for Mercedes.

Why is it that the F1 off season is more interesting than the racing season?

There is a great interview in F1 Racing with Bob Kubica in which he spills some beans like; BMW telling him not to win after his first pole because the board may have high expectation and that they were more concerned with perception than winning.

In any case, I hope Renault do sell to Prodrive as I believe they would provide better entertainment...
