Latest rumor is that it is sold to Feds for building a full training facility. Anyone else heard such a rumor? I hope this is not bad news for us tracksters

This rumor has been floating around for almost a year. More specifically, the State Department Diplomatic Security. This would be very bad news for the DC/Baltimore area motorsports community.
Senator Robert Byrd, D-WV, has been very successful in getting US Government agencies to move to that area of West Virginia. IRS, Fish and Wildlife, Coast Guard are the ones I've spotted between Summit Point and Martinsburg.

That would put an end to driving schools for good for the chapter.

Senator Byrd has been emphatic for years that he does not back federally-funded projects less than a one hour drive from the West Virginia border - in order to keep money earned in WV... IN the state (and not migrating daily back across the border).
If Byrd funded this - it would be a break in his past policies.
I'm (really) hoping this doesn't develop.

first i have heard of that byrd policy. he forced millions and millions in fed investment in martinsburg over the last 15 years. 15 minutes from border. IRS, USCG, DOA, and many other agencies have HQ facilities there courtesy of the senior senator. he does not care where in wva it is, as long as it in in wva.
Now this is much better news

Not sure what you're referring to Fatih. The last post I see is from early March.
