Nick Heidfeld finished on the podium at the Grand Prix of Hungary. Heidfeld is fourth and Robert Kubica fifth in driving points; BMW-Sauber is third in constructors’ points

Nick Heidfeld started from the outside of the front row in the Grand Prix of Hungary, fell back to third at the start, and held on to the position for the balance of the race despite a late-race challenge by Fernando Alonso of McLaren-Mercedes. Heidfeld’s teammate Robert Kubica started seventh and finished fifth. This was the team’s second podium finish of 2007, following Heidfeld’s second in Montreal.
Heidfeld had qualified third, but was promoted to the front row when world champion Fernando Alonso, who had qualified on the pole, was demoted to sixth on the grid. In the final minutes of qualifying, Alonso had sat in the pits while his teammate Lewis Hamilton
