New Member Intro

Hello Everyone,

I joined the BMW family in 2006 when I bought my 2001 manual transmission 325ci. Even after my 10+ years of ownership the 325ci is a joy to drive. I also have a 2007 BMW 550i with an SMG transmission that is also fun to drive. Driving (not traffic) is one thing I'm going to miss when my license gets yanked from me when I become a super duper senior citizen. I also like to work on my cars and I can't wait until it warms up. I've done a lot of work on the 325ci (e.g. basic tune up, belts, valve cover gasket, cooling system overhaul, vanos seals, control arms, brakes, alternator, etc...) to keep it in great running shape. I would have no reservations about driving it across country tomorrow. I'm not the quickest DIYer and I've had some very frustrating moments but there's that sense of accomplishment at the end of a job which is absolutely sweet.
