Cars have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My father always had a performance car in the garage starting with a 70(ish), Hemi Road Runner and and through the years there were Corvettes, Benz and Ferraris. As a teenager of the late 80s, I fell in love with the e30 M3 and I hoped to one day have an M car of my own. As the 90s and 00s ticked by, the time was never right to make the purchase. When the 1 series M was announced, I had just purchased a new car and couldn't justify taking a hit on the depreciation; a decision I regret to this day. When I heard there was a planned replacement, the M2, I decided the time was right. I wasn't going to miss out this time around. I recently took delivery of my 2017 M2 in mineral grey metallic and it's everything I imagined and more. I joined the National Capital Chapter of the BMW Car Club to meet other enthusiast and get involved with some of the events.
