More Body Shops

My Son's 2011 535 was parked in front of his girlfriends jeep on the street in Georgetown Thursday night. An apparent drunk driver was driving in the parking lane and plowed into the jeep which in turn smashed the 535 rear end. The girl was taken to the hospital. The good side is she was from Mass. and therefore,according to police, had insurance. My question is :Repair at a dealership or body shop? He's thinking Dealer because they would use OEM parts but I'm not sure. I would appreciate any input from you folks.

Any shop can get OE parts. I haven't needed a shop in some time, but in years past the dealerships had mediocre body shops - that may have changed. What area is he in?
