The roadster hardtop does not change the requirements for convertibles.
The top is not a structural piece of the vehicle.
Some organizations allow convertibles in HPDE events, if they meet certain requirements; not the National Capital Chapter.
BMW roadsters and convertibles may be entered in NCC AutoX events.
